The Art of Diagnostic and Aesthetic Medicine

Robert L Johnson MD MBA:  Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Lubbock.  He attended Coronado High School, and then left Lubbock for a year to attend Abilene Christian University.  He then returned to Texas Tech University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry.

After graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Amarillo campus of the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.  There he served as chief resident and was honored with a Special Award of Outstanding Achievement. 

After completing his residency in 1993, Dr. Johnson stayed on faculty and taught Internal Medicine at Texas Tech in Amarillo. He moved to Lubbock in 1994 to enter private practice and has been in Lubbock since then.  He left his practice briefly in 2004 to finish an MBA at Texas Tech, and has been at his current location since April of 2006.  He works in the Emergency Room at the Lubbock Heart Hospital and is an Associate Medical Director of Odyssey Healthcare Hospice in Lubbock.

Dr. Johnson is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Texas Tech for seven years.  He became a certified Bone Densitometrist in 2002.  He has been trained in advanced aesthetic laser techniques, advanced dermal fillers, and advanced Botox treatments.  He has been providing aesthetic services to his patients for 3 years.

Kim Allison, LVN:  Kim was born and raised in Albequerque, New Mexico, one of 9 children.  She moved to Lubbock in 1982 to attend Lubbock Christian University, but fell in love and got married to Kent Allison before she could finish.  When her three children began school, she restarted her education at Clarendon Community College School of Nursing where she received her LVN. 

She has worked in a large number of capacities as a nurse, including hospitals, home health agencies and various clinics.  She began working with Dr. Johnson in 2000, and has helped him build his practice at their current location since he re-opened his practice in 2006.

Kelly Sexton:  Kelly grew up in various small towns across the south plains and graduated from Abernathy High School in 1997.  She graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Family Financial Planning with a minor in General business.

After graduating, Kelly worked for as a state bank examiner and then as an internal auditor for Texas Tech.  She has been Dr. Johnson's office manager since April 2006.  She is now administering benefits at Covenant Hospital.
